1890′s house gets heating system upgrade

As Featured on Mechanical-Hub.com

This large, 125-year-old, 2,500-sq.-ft. Massachusetts home was in need of an upgrade to a modern day heating system. The existing oil-fired boiler, which had been in place for decades, needed to be replaced and the owner, was interested in a new high-efficiency heating system. Buddy’s Plumbing Service, Winthrop, Mass., realized what they needed to do. The heating system changeout started on December 7, 2013 and was completed just a few days later on December 9.

According to Charles “Buddy” Felt, “We knew Lochinvar would be an ideal fit for this job, so we installed a KNIGHT® Wall Mount Heating Boiler (WHN110) with a 50-gallon Squire® Indirect Water Heater.” The new system includes three heating zones, including the baseboard heating throughout the home, the mud room and an attached apartment.

Buddy’s Plumbing services residential and commercial clients in the Metro North and Greater Boston area. For info, www.buddysplumbing.com.
